ZeroBeer is a worldwide map of places that sell non-alcoholic beer. This page says what we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do. If anything is unclear, write to [email protected].
If you only look at the map
We record nothing about you. There is no account, no tracking, no advertising and no analytics cookie. If you allow location, your phone uses it to centre the map; it is not sent to us.
If you pin a find or check a fridge
- What you add: the place (its name, type and position on the map), the beer, your rating and your photo, if you add one. This is public on the map, except photos, which appear only after a check.
- Your IP address and its rough location: the city, region, country and internet provider that your IP address points to. We use this to stop spam, fake listings and repeated votes. Only our admins see it. We delete it after 90 days.
- A scrambled code made from your IP address: it cannot be turned back into the address. We keep it with your entry to limit how many entries one person can add each day.
Photos
Please photograph the bottle or can, not people. An automatic check (Cloudflare's AI image service) looks at each photo and publishes it only if it clearly shows a drink and no person. Anything else waits for a person on our team to look at it. We remove photos that show people.
Stored only on your phone
Your language, your last city and your cap collection are saved in your browser on your phone. They never reach us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the database and the photo check. Requests pass through Cloudflare's global network, so your data can be processed outside your country.
- OpenStreetMap names the town of each place pinned on the map. Only the position of the place is sent, nothing about you.
- OpenStreetMap supplies the map tiles, and Google Fonts supplies the lettering. Your browser downloads these directly, so those services see your IP address, as they would on any website that uses them.
- Google sign-in is used only by our admins, not by visitors.
We do not sell or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your rights
We keep the IP information because we have a legitimate interest in stopping spam and fake listings (Article 6(1)(f) of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation), and for the same purpose under other privacy laws. Under the GDPR, Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562, Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and similar laws where you live, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop us using it. Write to [email protected], tell us roughly when you added something and where, and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top.
